AA4R is working on the logs and it looks like we broke a record for number of contacts this year....more info later.
Attached are some pictures taken by shutterbug KC8PCQ. We Started out with a good breakfast at the Hungry Tummy then went to the Benzonia Park to set up for Field Day, had a great working crew, at 2 PM communications started at 6 Pm a good family cookout with the main course and all the trimmings provided by KC8PCQ & W8TVC.
A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL, FULL RUNDOWN OF COMMUNICATIONS NEXT WEEK.

B.A.R.F. FIELD DAY 2010 SETS 7 NEW RECORDS !
Records were set for number of contacts 817, points 974 (not including any bonus points), States worked 49 out of the 50, number of contacts on 6M 41, 10M 45, 15M CW 53, 15M SSB 242.
We had a wonderful family cookout Saturday evening and did not get rained on until Sunday morning. A big thanks to KC8PCQ & W8TVC for providing the main course, desert and all the trimmings again this year and the use of their trailer for one of the operating positions.
Thanks to AA4R & K8GWN for launching wires in the sky, W8TVC, WB4PHC, KG8CW, K8VY for Midnight Madness. WB4PHC & KG8CW were pounding the keys which helped our total points as CW counts two times as much as SSB. K8VY ran up the score on 6 & 10 meters this year. The ACE communicator of course was AA4R on 15 & 40 meters where we had a total of 514 SSB contacts and Bill made most of those. Thanks to KG8ZA for his ladder and tent, to the Sheriff for providing the Mobile Command Center for our number one operating position and for his visit along with Bill Sholten the Undersheriff. We are fortunate to have this great support from the Sheriff's department which also provides us with a nice radio room for our ARES/RACES emergency communications.
Attached is operator and visitor list also a 10 year history of our Field Days. AA4R, K8BTE, KG8ZA have participated in all 10 years, KC8PCQ & W8TVC have made 9 out of 10 and have feed us well.
