Sasha was active at several Dayton Hamfests as a member of the publicity
committee.
After she received her advanced class license, NA8H, she was a VE and was
very proud of enabling many new Hams to enjoy the hobby. She was a Music
major at Indiana University. She said many times that her sense of rhythm
and pitch made CW very easy. She could copy 60wpm
She always attended the Boat Races at Eastwood Lake. Her brother was one of
the racers. With 5 kids to keep tabs on, all wanting to see their uncle
race, she was not able to participate radio wise. However, she was always at
the "after party" to meet and greet fellow IOOK'ers.
After the kids all left for college, Sasha went to work as a Research
Librarian with the Dayton Daily News. She loved that work. She had a
lifelong interest in genealogy and the research aspect was a perfect fit.
