Early sometime in 2004 Don "Da Bear" Bowyer, KE8NK, made a suggestion that we honor I.O.O.K. friends who have passed on. He suggested some kind of a candle light memorial during the annual "Gathering Of The Faithful". At the 2004 Gathering we instituted the first Candle Light Ceremony by lighting a candle and then some IOOK'ers read a brief memorial tribute about each of our I.O.O.K. friends who have parted from us.
