Lenore's Memorial Picnic

Lenore let it be known that she did not want a funeral.  Instead she wanted an informal gathering of family and friends, so, Big Al decided to have a Memorial Picnic for Lenore.

Big Al's Memorial Picnic for Lenore took place on Saturday, June 28, 2009.  A large tent had been erected in his side yard and tables and chairs had been set up as well.  Big Al did not realize that Field Day was the same weekend when he set the date for the Memorial Picnic many months ago.

Sloppy Joe's and hot dogs topped the luncheon list and many other side dishes and desserts were available!

Everyone had no trouble getting all "FED UP"!

Big Al had set up years and years worth of Lenore's memorabilia on the back porch for the visitors to enjoy.

As you can see, the memorabilia included Lenore's ham license as well as several samples of her needlepoint!

In addition to a lot of cars, several campers were found in Big Al's yard as well!

A trip to Big Al's would be incomplete without a tour of his electric train set up, which is under construction.

After lunch, folks had a lot of fun visiting with each other, looking at Lenore's memorabilia, checking out Big Al's train set up and visiting some more!

Many thanks to Big Al for providing a lovely tribute to Lenore.  May she rest in peace!
